JOB TITLE: Senior Environmental - Sustainability Engineer JOB DUTIES: Lead all aspects of enterprise-wide corporate environmental sustainability strategy, including collection, consolidation, maintenance, preparation and presentation of environmental sustainability reporting metrics, educational materials and aspects & impacts for Environmental, social, Governance (ESG) disclosure compliance. Conduct and drive Life Cycle Analysis of Alnylam products and process to quantify cargon impacts, energy use and overall environmental footprints. System owner/administrator of enterprise-wide sustainability software system. Project manage all internal sustainability projects, from conception to completion. Partner with Capital Projects, Facilities Engineering, and Facilities Operations to identify and quantify sustainability metrics (energy reduction, recycling, diversion) into projects in support of Alnylam’s goals. Lead cross-functional relationships and establish direct liasion with key Alnylam internal business partners and external stakeholders, such as building landlords and key suppliers, in support of Alnylam environmental/sustainability initiatives. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Sustainability Science, Engineering (any) or related field of study and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Sustainability Science, Engineering (any) or related field of study and one (1) year of experience, the employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Science, Engineer (any) or related of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: Implementing and managing water, energy, hazardous waste and waste/recycling programs; Greenhouse gas calculation software systems; evaluating, recommending, implementing and being system owner of enterprise greenhouse gas calculation software systems; and EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001, 14064 and 45001).
