Manufacturing Operator, 3D Printing Kalogon, a smart seating startup based in Melbourne, seeks a Manufacturing Operator to help us build cutting-edge medical equipment using 3D printers. As our Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for owning the entire process of 3D printing and processing custom-made medical equipment for individuals who use wheelchairs. Hours: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities: Run a bank of resin and FDM 3D printers, staging jobs, starting prints, and harvesting finished parts to keep machines producing through the shift. Post-process printed parts: support removal, washing, curing, cleanup, and finishing to established standards. Perform first-pass inspection on every part, catching print defects (layer shift, warping, incomplete cure, poor bed adhesion) before they reach Quality Control. Diagnose issues on the floor and implement practical fixes. Contribute ideas to reduce cycle time and improve quality. Collaborate with R&D on prototypes and pilot builds. Required skills: Strong mechanical aptitude — you pick up new tools and processes quickly Problem-solver who thinks on their feet Background in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or a maker/technical environment is a plus Background in 3D-modeling or CAM is a plus High school diploma or equivalent Reports To: Production Manager
