We combine practical guidance with ongoing support to help clients make sustainable changes that fit their lives. About the Role We’re seeking a Registered Dietitian with an active Connecticut dietitian/nutritionist credential to support our growing client population in the state. This is a fully remote, 1099 independent contractor role. You manage your schedule and caseload, while TNC supports client acquisition, insurance billing, and administrative operations. Connecticut residency is not required. This opportunity is a strong fit for dietitians who value flexibility, work well independently, and enjoy supporting clients through ongoing care. What You'll Do Provide virtual, one-on-one nutrition counseling grounded in evidence-based care Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized care plans informed by clients’ health history, goals, preferences, and daily lives Address clients’ nutrition needs through medical nutrition therapy, practical guidance on meal planning and dining out, and interpretation of relevant lab results and supplementation guidance within your scope of practice Use collaborative goal-setting and behavior-change strategies to help clients build sustainable habits Build strong, supportive relationships that encourage consistency and long-term engagement Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and client follow-up Manage your appointment schedule and keep your availability current What We’re Looking For Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Active Connecticut license Professional liability insurance Experience providing outpatient nutrition care or individualized nutrition counseling A strong clinical foundation in medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based practice Ability to translate clinical recommendations into realistic, actionable steps An empathetic, collaborative approach that respects each client’s goals, circumstances, and readiness for change Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Comfort working independently and using digital tools to deliver virtual care Preferred Qualifications Current or previous credentialing with commercial insurance plans, particularly in Connecticut Experience supporting clients through ongoing nutrition counseling Experience delivering care through telehealth Additional state licenses or credentials What We Offer Flexible, remote work: Set your own schedule and manage your caseload Client acquisition support: Our marketing and referral efforts help connect you with clients whose needs align with your expertise and availability Session-based compensation: Get paid for the care you provide Administrative support: Spend less time managing insurance and billing so you can focus on client care Opportunities for ongoing care: Build relationships with clients and support their progress over time Select licensing reimbursement: TNC reimburses initial licensing fees for additional states requested to meet network needs Caseload growth varies based on client demand, state licensure, insurance credentialing, specialty, and availability.
