As Senior Director of Dental Operations, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across dental services within an assigned region, supporting teams, strengthening workflows, and advancing quality, productivity, and performance. Working closely with the VP of Dental Operations and other dental leaders, you’ll help create consistent, efficient operations while supporting an exceptional experience for patients, providers, and team members. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, coaching, supervision, and professional development for assigned dental teams. Partner with dental leadership to advance departmental goals related to quality, productivity, financial performance, and patient experience. Strengthen operational workflows, processes, and systems across assigned sites, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators, operational reports, budgets, productivity, and outcomes to identify opportunities and guide improvement. Support compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, infection control, grant, and operational requirements. Partner with clinical, billing, and administrative teams to support effective operations and sustainable performance. Oversee operational resources, including purchasing, inventory, and other site needs. Support dental workforce recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention. Build and maintain strong relationships with dental schools and other community or professional partners as applicable. Contribute to organizational committees, initiatives, and strategic priorities. Serve as a visible, collaborative leader who promotes a culture of service, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise High School/GED required Advanced degree in a health-related field preferred At least five (5) years dental experience required if High School/GED is the highest degree obtained At least three (3) years supervisory experience and clinical experience preferred Working knowledge of all aspects of dental operations including regulatory requirements preferred Experience in dental operations start-up preferred A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required You’ll be a great fit for this role if you: You’re a people-centered leader who enjoys helping teams grow, succeed, and deliver excellent service.
