Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key financial partner within the Payer Business Unit FP&A team responsible for producing business unit financial reporting, ad hoc operational models, driver-based forecasts, and leadership packages for assigned product lines. The incumbent will analyze key business trends, actual versus plan variances, and SaaS operational metrics across hybrid revenue models (subscription vs. consumption/usage-based revenue), and will serve as a financial liaison to the business unit leadership team, Sales Operations, Customer Success, and Product departments while actively driving FP&A process improvements and reporting automation. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in developing and maintaining driver-based forecasting models for hybrid SaaS revenue streams, balancing predictable subscription ARR with variable consumption and usage-based metrics; Develop, track, analyze, and report on key SaaS operational KPIs (ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, LTV, Client Churn/Renewal); Prepare monthly data reporting packages that include analysis of key business trends and actual versus plan variances, including comprehensive explanations of differences as well as the impact of operational drivers to budget/forecast; Produce routine and ad hoc financial operational models to support business unit leadership in decision making; Support process improvement, workflow automation, and standardization of data used in monthly, quarterly, and annual business unit performance reports; Design, develop and produce standard monthly, quarterly, and annual performance analytics using Oracle Hyperion; Collaborate with business unit finance team members to classify, quantify, and/or forecast business metrics & risks by providing reliable, accurate, comparable and timely information; Articulate findings on a regular basis to business unit management and cross-functional stakeholders; Document and/or build simulations and perform operational financial analyses; Assess quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and reports generated; Support business unit capex budgeting and forecasting; Support business unit operating expenditure (Opex) budgeting and forecasting; Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and mission statement; Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the business unit. Job Requirements: Minimum of 5+ years of combined finance or accounting experience, including 3+ years in a financial analyst role, with direct exposure to business unit FP&A or embedded operational finance; Demonstrated knowledge of SaaS unit economics, metric calculation, and operational KPIs; Ability to partner with internal customers and cross-functional teams effectively; Advanced Excel skills required (VBA experience is a plus); Prior Hyperion planning (Planning / Essbase / Smart View) experience preferred; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; Ability to create models that provide “what if” capabilities; Understanding of US GAAP Track record of driving process improvement and reporting automation; Desire to consistently exceed expectations and take on more responsibility; Must be very detail oriented and self-motivated, as this position generally requires employees to work independently. Experience in Healthcare, Healthcare Technology, or Software/SaaS environments a plus; and Experience modeling mixed or hybrid revenue models (subscription vs. consumption/usage-based pricing) a plus. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time); Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force; Subject to environmental conditions; and Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally, usually for training purposes. Inovalon Offers a Competitive Salary and Benefits Package In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
