Active Day is seeking a dynamic and experienced Home Care Director to lead and grow our South Carolina Home Care operations. Job Summary The Home Care Manager is the most senior member of the Home Care team. The Home Care Manager provides leadership; training and oversight related to home care practices in accordance with state regulations, payer requirements. In collaboration with the VP, Operations, the Home Care Manager identifies and drives the company’s strategic initiatives building strong working relationships with ASAPs and the communities at large with an eye on growth. The Home Care Manager partners with the local branch staff and other company leadership to effectively manage and grow the home care operations as well as the quality, compliance and training activities within the region. Responsibilities: • Assists, develops, implements, and monitors the annual business plan/budget; allocation of funds regarding operation and capital expenditures. Projects and executes a strategic growth plan. • Lead and support a strategy for essential growth and performance indicators, including admissions, referrals, recruitment, new hires, employee engagement, customer satisfaction. • Conducts personnel selection, hiring practices, ongoing supervision, training, and termination per applicable laws and policies of the company and federal regulations. • Participate in hiring processes to ensure necessary staffing for population management throughout branches and regions. • Secures appropriate relationships to enhance business operations. Works closely with sales and marketing team to carry out the strategic plan for growth and targets for new referrals/business. • Lead the home care teams by developing best practices, directing performance improvement initiatives, and implementing and monitoring compliance to company policy and procedures. • Develop Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and managed care (ASAP) contractual terms. • Provide oversight to day-to-day operations focused on risk management and staff training, education, and performance. • Participate in the internal audit plan; conduct compliance audits, create reports, and develop corrective action plans. • Design quality improvement systems and procedures to achieve deficiency-free audits. • Develop and conduct training throughout the region to improve and maintain competencies for field staff • Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out according to company standards and local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. • Responsible for annual employee performance evaluations • Monitor marketplace and environmental regulatory conditions to ensure operations teams are informed of emerging issues and trends which affect service delivery. • Develop and implement recruitment and retention initiatives annually. • Monitor operational costs as per budget • Build positive relationships with external business partners and industry leaders. Qualifications: • (5) Years of leadership experience in a health care setting, managing in Home Care preferred. • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in community based health care setting in a similar role at a medium to large sized, multi-site organization preferred. • Budgeting and P/L management. • Marketing /Sales/ Community Relations experience preferred. • Solid understanding of regulatory affairs. • Strong technology skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; adept at learning new software programs. • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships. • High impact communication skills; both written and verbal. • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail. • Self starter; able to prioritize, meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively. • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence across functions. • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and implement solutions collaboratively. #INDADL01
