As an Operational Manager, Research and Operations, you will join the Research and Operations Scandinavia team and provide operational support across a range of research studies and medical research projects. You will manage studies from development through completion, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with negotiated contracts, approved budgets, agreed timelines, quality expectations, internal standard operating procedures, and applicable regulations. You will work closely with Study Leads, Medical Affairs, brand teams, affiliate researchers, healthcare professionals, vendors, and external partners to facilitate effective and compliant study processes. This role may be based in either Copenhagen or Stockholm and reports to the Head of Affiliate Research, Scandinavia. The Operational Manager, Research and Operations will: Act as a strategic partner to identify opportunities for real-world data to address local evidence gaps. Facilitate identification and address evidence gaps, support evidence generation strategies, and provide scientific input to local evidence initiatives. Partner with Study Leads to manage research administered by the affiliate, including Investigator-Initiated Studies, non-interventional studies, collaborative research, research projects, and dataset purchases. Manage assigned projects from planning through completion, including documentation, oversight, monitoring, budget management, and updating of relevant systems. Provide guidance and support contract negotiations, invoice management, vendor selection, and drug deliveries where applicable. Provide guidance of the scientific publication process, hereunder the publication plans Provide operational, scientific, and clinical research expertise and guidance. Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, AbbVie standards, policies, and procedures. Contribute to the development and implementation of improved processes, new ways of working, effective communication and collaboration across the Scandinavian affiliate and with external stakeholders. Scientific background with a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Experience with scientific publications, drug development, clinical research, and registry studies. A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position or as a medical advisor, market access role where you have been working closely with research, Snr CRA or a Startup specialist Current and in-depth knowledge of regulations governing clinical research.   Strong knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and other applicable clinical research regulations. Strong commitment to compliance, scientific quality, and research integrity. Fluency in one Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional settings. Clear, confident, and effective communication skills. Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders while maintaining attention to detail. Experience leading processes and applying change management skills to support new ways of working. Flexible mindset, with the ability to manage ambiguity, think creatively, and develop practical solutions. Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
